    Workshop participants were presented with an overview of the EU legislative framework applicable to food ingredients and food additives specifically (speaker: Gilles Boin). The recent developments in the area of plant extracts (speaker: Nicole Coutrelis) and colouring foods (speaker: Ina Gerstberger) were placed in this regulatory environment.
