    Guest speakers included Mr. Jiri Sochor (DG SANTE, European Commission), who summarised the current regulatory situation for processing aids in the EU and touched upon the work on the guidance for safe use of processing aids (based on Codex guidelines CAC/GL 75-2010), Mr. Anders Liljegren (EU Specialty Food Ingredients), who presented the industry perspective on the regulatory environment for the use of processing aids in food manufacturing in the EU, and Mrs. Sonja Schulz (ZENK), who focused on the legal concept of processing aids and the interpretation of the European Court of Justice. The presentations were followed by a discussion session.
