The 18th International Scientific EFLA Congress, held in September 2010 under the umbrella theme "Private food law; Non-regulatory dimensions of food law", inspired the speakers and some other experts to contribute to this first book in legal literature analysing private food law. The picture is further completed by reference to two important policy documents from the European Commission.
